BooServer doesn't take any percentage or cut of publishers and artists' revenues. Instead, we just charge for media delivery (like online postage).

The units we use are called Beeps.
1 Beep = 1 play/download of a 5mb file (eg. an average Mp3) and costs around 0.5p

So if you're paying for your own media delivery it works out probably one of the cheapest ways in the world to distribute your media - or of course you can have this cost paid for by a Supporter (who gets an ad on your page) and then it's obviously free to you as a publisher.

This means people can promote their work across the network and, because the supporter pays the publisher direct to post a supporter ad on their pages - the publisher can earn a living, so they can give more of their stuff away for free!
